Of Coffee and Maternity Shopping
Tuesday, March 6, 2007
SHALOM!!! Well I am so glad that I am back here in my good ol' town of Kluang. I was away with my lovely wife over the weekend in KL. My wife was so relieved to be back in her hometown and so was I. I was dying for a cup of Starbucks Java ... its been like 3 months since I had my last cup. I know it is very sad.

By the way, the picture on the right is what my baby looks like on the 16th week. Everyday is an exciting day for my wife and I.

Anyway, it was a very interesting trip for me in KL. For the first time in my life, I went shopping for maternity clothes for my wife. It was really interesting that we no longer going to shop for ourselves, at least not for me. All we did was going into various "baby" shops looking at the kind of stuffs that we might need in the NEAR future. Man, there are stuffs I never seen before. Anyway, that is not what I want to blog about. I want to talk about maternity clothes.

It is so interesting that there are so many types of maternity clothing. We went to several shops, but ended in a shop called Modern Mom. Its the most hip shop (in my opinion) in the whole mall. Here are some of my observations

1) Maternity clothes are NOT cheap.
2) I have never heard of a pants with a kangaroo pouch.
3) Maternity clothes have a way to make people look really pregnant.
4) My pregnant wife looks really "sexy" in her maternity clothes!!!!!
5) While in the shop, it dawn upon me that people that come to this shop are pregnant (duhhhhh!!) and there is a sort of "bond" between us the father-to-be. We all look blurr, happy to be shopping for our wives, grinning, and most important, we have a look like, "how we ever got ourselves into this" look on our faces.

Anyway, all in all it was a great experience for me. I am noticing women that are pregnant as well ... interesting. I would not have imagine something like this would ever happen to me a year ago. My wife rocks!!!!! And I am so glad that we are in these together.

Please continue to pray for us as a couple that we will continue to grow and love each other more with the love of Christ, that Li Poh will be be able to enjoy her pregnancy from here onwards and somehow she will be spared from nausea, and lastly, that we will be prepared as a couple for this child.

Stay tune for more ...
