God Made Me Fearless
Thursday, August 16, 2007
![]() "Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant." Jeremiah 1:7-10 Battered Fish sang a song called "fearless" Which said, "my God made me fearless, I'm clay nothing but clay, molded my divine hands." Those lyrics really spoke to me in my early years of ministry, I felt too young, not trained enough, too inexperienced to do anything for God. For our whole lives we can have these excuses, I'm too busy, too tired, too old, too shy, too married, too single too blah blah blah. We need to be fearless in the things we do for God. If we feel he's called us, he will equip us, he will put the words in our mouth, he will anoint us. ![]() Sometimes when I speak at a meeting or in a room full of successful leaders, at a church, or at a camp, I can feel so nervous, vulnerable and inept and useless for the task. But then God reminds me that he's called me to preach, he speaks to me like he did to Jeremiah, and then I can do all things through him who strengthens me. If we could see with our spiritual eyes the number of angels around fighting for us, if we could see how the Holy Spirit is working on people, if we could grasp how powerful God is and how he can bless a situation with his hand, we would never have any fear again! Lord I want to be bolder in my sharing of the Gospel, not just at speaking engagements, but one on one with people that I bump in to day to day. I also want to equip others to be raised up to be who they're called to be. I pray that the spirit of fear will be bound up and defeated in Agape by the Blood of Jesus. Bradah Jit @ 11:21 AM |
